Exposed Pipes that pass through unheated spaces, such as unfinished basements, can freeze and burst in cold weather. To avoid a disaster, wrap the metal with fiberglass insulation or premolded foam-rubber sleeves, sealing the corners to ensure coverage, especially on vulnerable elbows. Also close vents around the outside of your home in the winter and open them backup in the warm spring. If you need help insulating your pipes please call                R.J.
