Service Plumber Technician Application

R.J. Tilley is looking to hire a detail-oriented Residential Service Plumber to maintain and repair our customers’ plumbing systems. The Service plumber will repair, replace and maintain water heaters, water piping systems, waste drain systems, gas piping systems, toilets, faucets, and more. You will diagnose problems, explain to customers in clear, non-technical terms, relay costs to customers, and offer alternative solutions. You will order and collect parts once the customer gives approval, and communicate with your supervisor regarding challenges. The ideal candidate is a Journeyman Plumber and will have 5+ years of experience in service plumbing.

Salary: $21-$30+ an hour, plus bonuses

Job Requirements:

Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
Understanding of all pipe types
Ability to braze & solder
Enjoy providing great customer service
Unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record
Aptitude for the plumbing trade
Neat, clean, and professional appearance
Safety and customer service oriented
Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Must pass a background check and drug test
